And my final update. This family was super easy to work with and they were the ones to pop the cherry on my new Nikon D300S.

I apologize in regards to the lack of communication on this blog as most of my energies has been spent on my jewel of the Nile, Over Yonderlust, a travel blog chronicling the preparations and adventures of Shaun and I in regards to our *hopefully* one year backpacking trip through Central/South America.
I have been taking on a few projects to further my photography career. I am about to kick it into high gear as we go careening into the holidays.
Here are a few peeks of some pictures I have taken over the past few months:
And I did an amazing fundraiser for the Elgin Humane Society:
I’m covering the Book People holiday party tomorrow evening – that should be a blast!
I’ll try to keep up a bit more. ❤
SXSW week! I AM SO EXCITED. Even though I seem like an old woman sometimes going to bed early, being responsible and all that jazz, this is the one week where I stretch myself beyond my limits and GOGOOGOGOGOGOOGOGOGO!
This week is turning out good so far:
Tonight: I have the decision between heading to Beauty Bar for Flosstradamus, or heading out with a friend to “The Decider Party” at The Mohawk. We’ll have to see. I actually don’t think I will be leaving the house until after 10 so we’ll see. 😀
High of 85. Time to go swimming. Packing up the kiddies and heading over to Barton Springs for a bit (the 2 year old is extremely pasty so I’m not sure how long we will actually be out) and then that night going out for St. Patrick’s with my “friend family” out…. I dunno, Sara hasn’t told me yet.
Still, I’m excited. I have no wristband and am a bit short on cash, but I won’t let that stop me from having a good week. HAPPY SXSW!
I mean… come on… this is so amazingly wonderful. How many other places would this happen?
ITS AMAZING. I can’t stop giggling. And most of all…. I usually applaud hacker’s work.
ONLY in TEXAS can it be 80 degrees during the day and SNOW later that night. I am so amazed, happy, purified. This honestly is the most wonderful gift I could have received for Christmas, and even more amazing that it ocurred during a Christmas party. There is NOTHING like a belly full of warm egg nog and running outside with 10 people do bathe in the amazingness of snow.
Here are some pictures!
